Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website and to your purchase of Manager By Design by Dr. Farid Basir (“Manager By Design”, “we”, “us”). By purchasing, you agree to these terms.

1. The product

Your purchase of the Manager By Design Digital Edition includes:

  • the Manager By Design e-book in PDF format;
  • the practical toolkit (worksheets, reflection exercises, management checklists, conversation templates and team discussion guides);
  • for purchases made during the launch period, access to the Manager By Design WhatsApp Learning Community from 1 December to 31 December 2026.

The paperback edition, where available, is sold separately and is not part of this purchase.

2. Price and payment

  • The launch price is RM30 until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027 the price is RM40.
  • Payment is processed securely by ToyyibPay. ToyyibPay charges a payment processing fee (currently RM1), which is shown at checkout.
  • We do not receive or store your bank or card details.

3. Delivery

The product is delivered digitally to the email address you enter at checkout, after your payment has been successfully completed. Please make sure the email address is correct and check your spam/junk folder. If you have not received your purchase, contact us at ManagerByDesign@outlook.my.

4. Licence and permitted use

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and use the e-book and toolkit for your own development and work. You may print the toolkit for your own use.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • share, forward, upload, resell or distribute the e-book, the toolkit or your download links;
  • reproduce the content in other publications, courses or training materials;
  • use the content for organisation-wide training. Organisations should contact us about multiple licences.

5. WhatsApp Learning Community

  • The community is a discussion group that runs from 1 December to 31 December 2026 and is included with launch purchases at no additional charge.
  • Your phone number and WhatsApp profile will be visible to other members of the group.
  • Members are expected to be respectful and professional. We may remove anyone who posts spam, promotional material, offensive content or confidential information.
  • Discussions are for learning purposes and are not professional, legal or HR advice for your specific situation.

6. Refunds

Because this is a digital product, purchases are generally non-refundable once digital access has been provided. We will help with duplicate payments, failed delivery and genuine technical issues. See our Refund Policy.

7. Content disclaimer

Manager By Design provides general management and leadership guidance based on the author’s experience and established management practice. It is not a substitute for professional legal, HR, medical or financial advice for your circumstances. You remain responsible for decisions you make in your own role and organisation.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
